Traveler Days!

Traveler Days, a festival welcoming the return of The Traveler and spring, is a special arts-focused public celebration held in Union, Washington from Earth Day through Motherʼs Day annually.

The Traveler itself is a light-and-shadow effect on the face of Mt. Washington, usually seen as a hooded figure with awalking staff visible for a few months every spring when the snow on the mountains has begun to melt. Only visible from the Union, The Traveler has a variety of myths and legends woven about it by both the native and western populations living along Hood Canal.

The Traveler Days celebration features a wide variety of events, all designed to help visitors sample Unionʼs breathtaking views, cuisine, and arts culture.   Join the South Shore community at all or any of these events:

Anna’s Bay Chorale – this weekend!

The Anna’s Bay Chorale’s annual performance of Handel’s beloved masterwork will be extra special in 2012. Now on their return, they’ll rejoin the South Shore Chamber Orchestra for performances in the Shelton High School Performing Arts Center on Friday, December 7th and Sunday, December 9th; as well as making their Thurston County debut with a performance at the beautiful Minnaert Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday evening, December 8th.
