Please bring less snow showers and more golfing days.
Hello Spring!
As the seasons change…
Oh how I have missed the beautiful changing of the seasons. After returning to the Northwest from living in Kona, Hawaii for the last 12 years, I am rediscovering the beauty of the Northwest. When one lives here most of their lives, it’s so easy to forget how lucky we are to live in such a pristine place. Rich in culture and bursting with fresh air! You can literally feel the oxygen fueling your spirit!
I am so delighted to be working here at Alderbrook where I make the drive daily from Gig Harbor. The drive is always relaxing and the scenery is spectacular. I simply put my car on cruise mode and take in the breathtaking views as I drive along Hwy 106. It’s so delicious out here!
I remember Alderbrook from my youth as I used to drive out here on the way to a friend’s cabin on Lake Cushman. I cannot believe that this place still holds that special charm and decompressing atmosphere. Looking at all the growth in the Puget Sound area over the last 12 years…it’s a miracle that one can still find a little piece of heaven within an hour or less from the major cities.
One thing that really stands out to me as I age, is the fact that life is much too short and city life is much too hectic. For those that have earned the privilege of getting away for a weekend or for the rest of your life, take advantage of it. Quality of life is so much more important than quantity.
Come on out to Alderbrook. Regenerate and find your little piece of heaven! I have fresh coffee, tea and spiced cider for anyone who stops by. I can’t wait to meet you!!!
In the meantime, enjoy some of Autumn at Alderbrook through photos.
We’re dreaming of a white Christmas…
The Golf Club posted these photos a few weeks ago on their Facebook page. We think they are just the perfect way to wish all our friends and family a very Merry Christmas! Wouldn’t we all love to see this as we wake up on Christmas morning?
