Why We Love to Call Alderbrook Home
The pandemic is challenging for all of us. As we slow down, we now have more time to think about our lives. Our focus right now needs to be on the “new normal.” But, it’s also a chance to think about how we would like to live in the future.
Many of us have a new appreciation for being out of doors and experiencing nature. Nowhere else can you find a sense of the serene when surrounded by the beauty of greenery, trees, and the sounds of birds and other woodland creatures.
We’re also learning that location doesn’t need to define where you work. And this opens up new opportunities. Why not live in a spot that feels like you’re on vacation? And if you’re starting to think about what retirement or partial retirement in the future might look like, this is a great way to transition into this next phase.
If you’re living in the city, you may be reflecting on the pace of life and thinking that you want to live differently. But while you may want to feel like you are living in a remote area, you don’t want to be removed. You still want access to urban amenities.
At Alderbrook, you can have it all.
We’re just 30 minutes away from beautiful, pristine trails in the Olympic National Forest. If you love the sound of crashing waves, it’s only 90 minutes to the Pacific Ocean Beaches. It’s also pretty darn easy to get to Seattle, Tacoma, and other nearby cities if you need to. We’re just a relaxing 45-minute drive and a one-hour ferry ride to Seattle. Or, if you want to drive, it takes about the same amount of time if you just go through Tacoma and head up I-5.
These reasons and a few more are why we love the Alderbrook community:
Natural Beauty of Hood Canal and the Olympic Peninsula
You have hiking trails right outside your door. Imagine living in the middle of more than five miles of walking and hiking trails. Majestic mountains and shimmering water make this a timeless and magical place. Kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, crabbing, clamming, and fishing are just a few of the water activities to enjoy. Our community is also an official “dark sky” community, so when you go outside to stargaze at night, you will see a multitude of stars.
Award-Winning Golf at the Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club
The award-winning Alderbrook Golf Course is beautiful and has some interesting holes to challenge golfers. When you live in the Alderbrook community, HOA dues include golf for two, and this is a great bargain. Plus, you have reciprocal memberships in ten other golf clubs. The Alderbrook Clubhouse features a restaurant and a well-stocked pro-shop. Fun activities like Taco Tuesday are a chance to bring residents together and connect (when we can do that again.)
Alderbrook Is a Great Place to Live
The Alderbrook community is a friendly place. Residents are welcome to be as involved—or uninvolved—in activities as they like. It’s the perfect place to vacation and then make it your retirement destination. We have high-speed internet service, making it possible to work remotely. The world-class Alderbrook Resort & Spa is located nearby, just down the hill from our community. The Resort’s restaurants, spa, and other activities such as year round s’mores at the fire pit next to the water make it a delightful destination. As a Mason County resident, you’ll receive discounts on dining and some of the spa services but always check with the Resort to confirm. Fun activities related to artisanal food or our outdoor cinema during the summer make this a great place to live and vacation.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, a sense of timeless peace comes over you. This spell may be interrupted by birds, deer, and the occasional sound of a golf ball, and that makes it a pretty perfect place to call home.
If you’re ready to start exploring your options, give us a call. We’d be happy to share more about this beautiful place we call home. We’d love to help you find your Alderbrook Properties dream home.
